Loyal to a Nation and Worship to our GOD

Where did the Pledge of Allegiance “under GOD” come from?

The Pledge of Allegiance: Dwight Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States, stated after signing Public Law 396 on June 14, 1954 which added the phrase “one Nation under GOD” to the Pledge of Allegiance:

“From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural school house, the dedication of our nation and our people to the Almighty. To anyone who truly loves America, nothing could be more inspiring than to contemplate this rededication of our youth, on each school morning, to our country’s true meaning.

Especially is this meaningful as we regard today’s world. Over the globe, mankind has been cruelly torn by violence and brutality and, by the millions, deadened in mind and soul by a materialistic philosophy of life. Man everywhere is appalled by the prospect of atomic war. In this somber setting, this law and its effects today have profound meaning. In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource, in peace or in war.”

 Does pledging allegiance to the flag offend ELOHIM or send a message that we are worshipping a country instead of ELOHIM and our honor for HIS work among us?

  • The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was said to be removed from schools and churches for various reasons. But if we research it, we find that it was called an offense to those who didn’t believe in ELOHIM, that HE created borders, or that America was a “good” nation.
  • However, ELOHIM set the boundaries of the nation’s territories and neighbors throughout history.
  • Today, many are taught to hate America and have no respect for its creation or boundaries. However, ELOHIM created a nation’s power and boundaries in time (history.)
  • For those who were taught to hate America, please inform me about why you hate America and let me know what nation you would rather live in and why.
  • We honor and pledge loyalty to our nation because it is ELOHIM’s will for us and HIS gift of land and secure borders.
  • When we pledge loyalty, we ask that our nation remain under ELOHIM.
  • When we pledge loyalty to our nation, we are agreeing that this nation is one  (united) under ELOHIM! Giving the proper order of all things, which is under ELOHIM.

31 “I will set your border from the Sea of Reeds to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates River. For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you are to drive them out before you. Exodus 23:31; TLV

“Ask of ME, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.” Psalm 2:8; TLV

“You shall not move your neighbor’s boundary mark, which the ancestors have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the Lord your God gives you to possess. Deuteronomy 19:14; TLV

“For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish, and those nations shall be utterly laid waste.” Isaiah 60:12; TLV

15 You have increased the nation, Adonai, You have increased the nation. You are glorified as You have expanded all the borders of the land. Isaiah 26:15; TLV

 26 From one HE made every nation of men to live on the face of the earth, having set appointed times and the boundaries of their territory. 27 They were to search for HIM, and perhaps grope around for HIM and find HIM. Yet HE is not far from each one of us, [c] 28 for ‘In HIM we live and move and have our being.’ Acts 17:26-34; TLV

ELOHIM calls for loyalty, prayers, and love for the nation HE has given us. The history of Israel is an example of how we should think and feel about our country. Ultimately, we who love ELOHIM will have the boundaries of a city in heaven.

12 Blessed is the nation whose GOD is ADONAI, the people HE chose for HIS own inheritance. Psalm 33:12;

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2;

“So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that ELOHIM shows no partiality, but in every nation, anyone who fears HIM and does what is right is acceptable to HIM.” Acts 10:34-35;

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2;

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from ELOHIM, and those that exist have been instituted by ELOHIM.” Romans 13:1;

18 And YESHUA came up to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to ME.  19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the FATHER and the SON and the RUACH HA-KODESH, Matthew 28:18-19

14 “When MY people, over whom MY Name is called, humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14;

“But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore ELOHIM is not ashamed to be called their GOD, for HE has prepared for them a city.” Hebrews 11:16

“Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over HIS kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore.” Isaiah 9:7
