But if CHRIST is in you,\u00a0then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the SPIRIT gives life\u00a0because of righteousness.\u00a0And if the SPIRIT of him who raised JESUS from the dead\u00a0is living in you, he who raised CHRIST from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies\u00a0because of\u00a0his SPIRIT who lives in you.<\/p><p>Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation\u2014but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.\u00a0For if you live according to the flesh, you will die;\u00a0but if by the SPIRIT you put to death the misdeeds of the body,\u00a0you will live.<\/p><p>For those who are led by the SPIRIT of GOD\u00a0are the children of GOD.\u00a0\u00a0The SPIRIT\u00a0you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again;\u00a0rather, the SPIRIT you received brought about your adoption to sonship.\u00a0And by him we cry,\u00a0<em>\u201cAbba,<\/em>\u00a0Father.\u201d\u00a0&gt;The SPIRIT himself testifies with our SPIRIT\u00a0that we are GOD\u2019s children.\u00a0Now if we are children, then we are heirs\u2014heirs of GOD and co-heirs with CHRIST, if indeed we share in his sufferings\u00a0in order that we may also share in his glory.<\/p><p>I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.\u00a0For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of GOD\u00a0to be revealed.\u00a0For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it,\u00a0in hope\u00a0that\u00a0the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay\u00a0and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of GOD.<\/p><p>We know that the whole creation has been groaning\u00a0as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.\u00a0Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the SPIRIT,\u00a0groan\u00a0inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.\u00a0For in this hope we were saved.\u00a0But hope that is seen is no hope at all.\u00a0Who hopes for what they already have?\u00a0But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.<\/p><p>In the same way, the SPIRIT helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the SPIRIT\u00a0himself intercedes for us\u00a0through wordless groans.\u00a0 And he who searches our hearts\u00a0knows the mind of the SPIRIT, because the SPIRIT intercedes\u00a0for GOD\u2019s people in accordance with the will of GOD.<\/p><p>And we know that in all things GOD works for the good\u00a0of those who love him, who\u00a0have been called\u00a0according to his purpose.\u00a0For those GOD foreknew\u00a0he also predestined\u00a0to be conformed to the image of his Son,\u00a0that he might be the firstborn\u00a0among many brothers and sisters. With what kind of body will they come?\u201d How foolish!\u00a0What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.\u00a0When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But GOD gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another.\u00a0There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever.\u00a0Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.<\/p><p>The Scriptures tell us, \u201cThe first man, Adam, became a living \u00a0person.\u201d But the last Adam\u2014that is, CHRIST\u2014is a life-giving Spirit.\u00a0What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later.\u00a0Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while CHRIST, the second man, came from heaven.\u00a0Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man.\u00a0 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like\u00a0the heavenly man.<\/p><p>What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of GOD. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.<\/p><p>But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!\u00a0It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever.
